Gatineau, August 27, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 At K\u014dena Spa, we have the privilege of working alongside passionate individuals, and Myriam is one of them. Today, we are proud to celebrate her incredible water polo journey and highlight the $2,000 sports scholarship she has received in recognition of her talent, determination, and unwavering commitment to the sport she has passionately practiced for more than 16 years.<\/p>\n

At K\u014dena Spa, water quality is always a top priority. With her CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification, Myriam is responsible for the maintenance and operation of our pools. Her time at K\u014dena has not only allowed her to deepen her expertise in pool and spa operations but has also helped us uphold the high standards of care and quality that we promise to every client, day after day.<\/p>\n

A passion that takes her far<\/h3>\n

Myriam discovered water polo in Gatineau when she was just 10 years old. Four years later, she made a bold decision: to move to Montreal to train with the best players. She quickly stood out, earning her place on Canada\u2019s junior national teams and competing in world and Pan American championships.<\/p>\n

Her dedication then brought her to New York, where she excelled in the NCAA university league, winning a conference championship and advancing to the national finals. In 2022, she achieved one of her lifelong dreams: becoming an official member of Team Canada.<\/p>\n

Turning setbacks into strength<\/h3>\n

While preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympics, a severe shoulder injury unexpectedly halted her progress. Two surgeries and long months of rehabilitation followed. But true to her resilient nature, Myriam chose to focus on the positive:<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I hadn\u2019t had this injury, I wouldn\u2019t have had the chance to work at K\u014dena Spa.\u201d This perseverance and positivity are the same qualities she demonstrates in her daily work at the spa.<\/p>\n

A new adventure in France<\/h3>\n

Today, Myriam is preparing for an exciting new chapter in her athletic career: joining LUC M\u00e9tropole Water Polo, the reigning champion of France. Starting this season, she will compete in the prestigious European Champions League.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a dream come true, a bit like the NHL of water polo,\u201d she shares with enthusiasm.<\/p>\n

An inspiration to us all<\/h3>\n

The entire K\u014dena Spa team is proud to celebrate this well-deserved recognition. Myriam\u2019s passion, positivity, and relentless work ethic make her an inspiration to everyone around her. Congratulations once again, Myriam!<\/p>\n
