There’s something people don’t say enough about summer in the Outaouais: you don’t have to go far to have a real resort experience.<\/p>\n

While everyone else is booking flights, hotels and complicated itineraries, some people have found something a little simpler. An address in Gatineau, 15 minutes from Ottawa, where the spa, restaurant, hotel and golf course all share the same site. Where you can arrive in the early afternoon and not leave until the next day at noon.<\/p>\n

In summer, K\u014dena is busy almost every day \u2014 which says something. The outdoor baths in July’s heat are an experience of their own. The light stretching to 9pm, the terrace, the tempered water when it’s warm outside \u2014 there’s something particularly right about that combination.<\/p>\n

Weekday evenings are especially popular: lower volume, more space, a softer atmosphere. The Petite \u00c9vasion (access after 5pm) is an affordable, efficient way to live the full experience after a workday.<\/p>\n
